MUGAs in Ireland!

MUGA stands for Multi Use Games Area. A MUGA is an all-weather sports and recreation facility where a wide variety of sports and games can be played. Typically the surface is synthetic – tarmacadam, astroturf, and soft surfaces are common choices.

A wide variety of sports and games can be accommodated through the use of multifunctional goals and nets. Soccer, basketball, netball, tennis, hurling, badminton and volleyball are all possible.

What do OUTFIT do in relation to MUGAs?

Initial Consultation and Advice: we work closely with you to advise on the best type of MUGA based on your budget, user requirements, and site specifications.

Groundwork and Site Preparation: OUTFIT will carry out all site preparation including excavation, drainage, and associated civil works.

Perimeter Fencing: Usually the area would be secured with a two to three meter high perimeter fence. The goals and basketball rings are usually incorporated into the fencing.

Top Surface: OUTFIT can advise on the best surface to suit your needs – astroturf, tarmacadam, soft surface, etc. – and carry out all installation and finishing.

Court Lining: OUTFIT can carry out all line marking on the surface to suit whichever sports and games you desire.

After-Care: Once the site has been installed, OUTFIT can carry out periodic inspections and can advise on and carry out any maintenance or repairs necessary.
