Types of Modular Pump Track
There are two main types of modular pump tracks available – precast and steel frame.
1. Precast Modular Pump Tracks
These are the most durable type of modular pump track available. The modules are precast in Parkitect’s factory and shipped to location, where they are carefully placed in position and secured together. Precast Modular Pump Tracks are the best choice for locations where they are used unsupervised or where vandalism may be a concern. When used as a permanent installation, there is no better choice.
2. Steel Frame Pump Tracks
These pump tracks look spectacular – with a steel frame inside a fiberglass riding surface, they look fantastic and provide an unrivaled riding experience. Although not as vandal-resistant as a precast model, the steel-framed pump tracks are better suited to a semi-permanent installation as they can be moved or the track can be altered or enlarged at a later stage with relative ease.
