OUTFIT is proud to have completed the installation of 5 new Outdoor Calisthenics Gyms for Cork City Council. The Outdoor Gyms are part of a wider strategy to provide spaces for the people of Cork to keep active and healthy. This is a fantastic initiative, and the people of Cork City are lucky to benefit from its strong planning and swift introduction.

OUTFIT’s gyms are located in Ballycannon Park in Clogheen/Kerrypike; Clashduv Park; Tory Top Park; The Lough; and Meelick Park in Ballyvolane. Each of the facilities comprises wheelchair accessible elements, as well as bodyweight exercises, cardio, and strength and resistance exercises!

Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Kieran McCarthy, said: “These gym installations have proved very popular so far and there have already been public calls for more in other city neighbourhoods.” Following a successful pilot programme, a series of free sessions given by trained instructors are being offered to the public. These sessions will be open to all ages and abilities.”

Good luck to the people of Cork City and we hope you all manage to Get Out and Get Fit!
